Personality
ESFPs live in the world of people possibilties. They love people and new experiences. They are lively and fun, and enjoy being the center of attention. They live in the here-and-now, and relish excitement and drama in their lives. ESFPs have very strong inter-personal skills, and may find themselves in the role of the peacemaker frequently. They are usually very sympathetic and concerned for other people’s well-being. They’re usually quite generous and warm. For the ESFP, the entire world is a stage. They would love nothing more than for life to be a continual party, in which they play the role of the fun-loving host. ESFPs have a very well-developed appreciation for aesthetic beauty and have a strong appreciation for the finer things in life, such as good food and good wine.
Strength
ESFPs’ strength can be defined as the individual’s consciousness to everything that exists—everything that one can touch. For them, not many things are really more significant than things that exist as material objects. This explains the user’s great awareness of what surrounds them; this is the so-called kinesthetic intelligence. This high level of environmental awareness is due to the user’s strong interest in new experiences. Indeed, they constantly seek to derive satisfaction from their environment, explaining their pronounced taste for adventure. This attraction for new experiences is translated into the philosophy of “living in the moment.” In their relationships with others, ESFPs are aware of the experience they give to those around them. This manifests in a relatively strong presence, confidence and charisma that others will appreciate.
Immature use of this strength can lead the individual to constantly seek instant gratification, preventing them from focusing on a plan for the future. It can also manifest in the desire to constantly impress others, or in various addictions.
Developement Point
ESFPs can be unable to project themselves into plans for the future and thus limits their consciousness to the present moment. They do this because they know that undertaking actions that will make sense in the long run, is contrary to the idea of enjoying the experiences that life gives them in the moment. So, these individuals cannot decide what they want. It is very difficult for them to connect with their real desires. Because of this, they often refuse to settle for a single choice because they know that the chances this choice is the wrong one are high. Thus, their opinions are therefore constantly changing. Nevertheless, deep down inside, they want to find out who they are, what their purpose is and what their true desires are. That is why, when they think they have found what they love, they will rush to it in the hope of ending the long period of indecision they have just gone through. However, this happens, before they realize that it is not exactly what they wanted. Then they will go back into a phase of indecision.
This can have undesirable consequences in their love life. Indeed, it will be difficult to reassure their partners once they have learned how many conquests this ESFP has undertook. It is difficult for them to admit it, but a good part of them has a tendency towards short relationships, or even infidelity, precisely because they never know what they want and become impulsive when they think they have found it.
Professionally, they can make many commitments and sacrifices for their careers. Their bold and risky approach to the world of work can pave the way to success quickly. However, their lack of projection into the future will be their downfall, especially since they will quickly lose motivation even in the case of minor failures due to their lack of patience and their thirst for immediate results and performance.
This is true unless they develop this weakness. In that case, they will be able to distinguish between the act of enjoying the present moment and the act of making sacrifices in the service of their future. A specific goal in mind is the only thing they lack, and if they can find it and keep it, their determination combined with their keen sense of reality will help them to overcome whatever obstacles stand in their way: brace yourself for a new world.
Relationships
ESFPs stare at their crush smiling. Somehow manage to often appear around them. Strike up random conversations with them and laugh easily. They’re easy-going, natural charmers with everyone but there’s more below the surface. They love to discover what makes their crush tick and do all the things they love until their crush ask them out, or they ask them out directly.
ESFPs need someone who listens to them, takes care of them and their well-being, and appreciates the way they put on the show. Someone who accepts their need to try different experiences, to go out, and who follows them from time to time. Someone who is funny, empathetic, and lightens their mood every day.
Once in a relationship, ESFPs are fun, delightful and attractive. Although they naturally bring everyone great experiences without even trying, it’s something they try hard for, especially for their significant person. Their partner is quickly known by their many acquaintances. They show affection very honestly but also physically. Kind-hearted, romantic and unpredictable. They spontaneously and innocently remind their partner of their love for them. They desire to be the center of their partner’s attention and the subject of their desires.
